Hotmail (now Outlook) is one of the earliest free email services that could be accessed with a web browser and when you log into Hotmail email, you will automatically gain access as a user on this platform. It was first launched in 1996 and was subsequently acquired by Microsoft in 1997 and rebranded in 2012. Because of the rebranding, if you want to create a Hotmail account now, you will be redirected to Outlook – you can still own a Hotmail email address if you desire but you will have to sign in with Outlook to be able to access your account.
Hotmail email still possesses some of the features that made it one of the amazing email services in the early days and since rebranding, many other features have been added to make it even better. Some of these features include unlimited storage space, the ability to schedule meetings and manage your calendar, spam filtering and many more. Hotmail (Outlook) can be downloaded on mobile devices, or PC or can be accessed by visiting the webpage on outlook.live.com. If you already own a Hotmail account, you do not need to update your account to Outlook because it will update automatically. This article will guide you on the step by step procedures on how to create a Hotmail account and also log into Hotmail email.
